How our keys by post services works

Inta-lock Auto Locksmiths can programme keys from vehicles made by certain manufacturers using components that can be sent to us in the post. For this, the owner will need to remove certain modules from the vehicle and post them to our offices in Leicester. Our experienced technicians will then carry out the necessary work and then return the modules by post for you to refit into the vehicle.

For those who work in garages or in the motor trade, who have the knowledge to extract the specific modules, this service can be especially useful.

JAGUAR / LAND ROVER /RANGE ROVER KVM UNIT

The Jaguar Land Rover group uses a unit called the KVM to operate the immobiliser and central locking system for vehicles fitted with a proximity key system. You will need to remove this KVM unit and send it in to us via recorded delivery. Our expert auto locksmiths will then manually add a new proximity key into the KVM memory. Once fitted back into the car the key will operate the central locking and proximity start functions in the vehicle.

Once we have carried out the required work and tested the module we will send the module along with new keys back to you via tracked and recorded post.

If you require the emergency key blade to be cut we will need you to also remove and send us the door lock barrel so that we can make a key to the lock. This service is available if you have lost all the keys or if you already have a key but want a spare key aswell.

MERCEDES BENZ EIS UNIT

Mercedes Benz use a unit called the EIS to hold its immobiliser data for the vehicle, this is the unit you will need to remove and send to us by recorded post in order for us to carry out the work. Once we receive the unit we will use our auto locksmith equipment and software to extract key information and create programming files to make your new key work once the unit has been reinstalled into the vehicle. if you would like the emergency key blade to be cut you will also need to remove and send us the door lock barrel for us to make the key to. Once our auto locksmiths have carried out the work and tested the new keys and EIS unit we will send it back to you for re installation by recorded and tracked post
